FOOLS FOR ROWAN
Kings of Leon...Paramore...The Raconteurs...and NOW...Fools For Rowan, the next band bursting forth from Nashville’s ripe rock scene. Led by spectacular female lead vocalist Erin Mullins...and super-talented female lead guitarist Rachel Brandsness...FFR is on the verge of breaking onto the world-wide indie / alternative rock scene.
Mullins, born in South Dakota and raised in Arkansas, honed her skills while touring with Eclipse, a rock band in the Midwest section of the United States. She brings her brand of “Lipstick Rock” to the group…a style of “male oriented rock” from a woman’s point of view. It's a touch of Nickelback and Kings of Leon...but also reminiscent of such female led acts as Paramore, Heart, Pink and Pat Benatar.
Brandsness toured with bands in the Pacific Northwest, including The Detours in her home state of Oregon.
Bass player Aaron Elliott, Tennessee born and bred, brings years of experience after touring with Today's Tomorrow.
Drummer Jordan Cullen, a Kentuckian who spent time in Rhode Island, was once a member of the University of Kentucky men’s basketball pep band before touring with rock band Stealing Seasons.
Rhythm guitarist Ryan Nanney, spending years in Tennessee and Louisiana, toured with Strange Candy.
FFR’s first single and video, “Burnt Around The Edges,” was released in October of 2009...with the album, "Twisted. Tied Up. Tangled." following on November 9, 2009. The second single and music video for the song "Dead" was released in March 2010.
FFR's "Dead" single will also be available later in 2010 free with every download of the Google Android MixZing Music Player.
