• BIO:
Here we go! We're ready for the Private Performances & Public Appearances!!

Bay Area-based Blue Moon Gypsies is a West Coast-style country band which incorporates 80's and 90's originals & covers spiced up with our own unique flavor & expertise! We're influenced by Pop, Latin, Rock, Bluegrass and Funk undertones.
We pay homage to Country's Queens & Kings such as Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Deana Carter, Terri Clark, Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, Chris Stapleton, Josh Turner and many others! We also pay tribute to the icons such as Patsy, Dolly, Johnny, Hank and Willie.

We're not your-run-of-the-mill country & western band but a diverse and multicultural group of seasoned professional touring musicians. We’d love to play for your community wherever you’re located!
BMG blendsthe incredible stylings of co-founders Carmen Milagro’s lead vocals (Milagro) and Rich Armstrong’s lead vocals, acoustic guitar and trumpet into an array of memorable & danceable tunes as we also love to feature emerging young LOCAL musicians from the cities we play in!

More about co-founder Carmen Milagro
Ms. Milagro is also in the studio and in her creative sanctuary writing her 1st musical based on life as a Latina singer/songwriter growing up in the bay area.

As a community leader Carmen Milagro, a native of SF is consultant to the Music City San Francisco Hall of Fame, Hotel and Mega Music Complex

The Past:
Japan, Cuba, Europe, Mexico and Central American headliner Carmen Milagro (Original and Classic Latin Sounds from the Americas) is centered in the NUEVO buzz in the Latin music scene!

Carmen Milagro’s performances are certainly not those of your typical Salsa or Latin rock bands. Ms. Milagro has invoked a musical style that is sophisticated and warm yet, at times, edgy and sensual. The MILAGRO show is extremely pleasing to the musical palate with songs in both Spanish and English, sexy originals and traditional covers that focus on melody and harmony that stir emotions and inspire you to move and sing!!

Her sensuous vocals have attracted some incredibly talented, high-caliber musicians to join her on stage such as the multi-instrumentalist & music Director Rich Armstrong on trumpet, percussion & vocals (Boz Scaggs, Joyce Cooling, Thomas Dolby, Cold Blood) and Marquinho Brasil, percussionist for Mariah Carey and Miles Davis.

MILAGRO is known and highly praised for her Latin Rock sound as well as her interpretations of the classic Latin standards ala Gershwin and Porter…but in Spanish. The show includes songs like Sabor a Mi, Como Fue, Un Viejo Amor, Como Han Pasado los Anos peppered with English Latin-inspired songs like Be Careful and In the Meantime. Her favorite singles include, "Living Legend" featuring Santana's former drummer, the one the only, Dennis Chambers and "Sway" featuring BB King's former drummer, the incomparable, Tony "TC" Coleman (available on Youtube)

Milagro has also garnered a few television appearances on the Comcast SF Sound cable show, the Bruce Lattimer Show, as well as Bay Area Vista with Janice Edwards of NBCTV 11 and Univision’s Channel 14, Encuentro en la Bahia, Bay Sunday and KPIX/CBS where audiences are once again enjoying smooth boleros and rockin' Spanish love songs.

This San Francisco-native Latina singer and lyricist has come into her own as a bandleader. She’s created a show that is both familiar to those in the Spanish-speaking communities as well as any lover of the traditional Latin sounds and those who are interested in listening to the various “rock, jazzy and bolero shades” of Latin music.

Carmen Milagro is available to perform with her 6-8 piece core band and typically consists of: Trumpet, coronet and flugelhorn, keys, bass, drums, lead guitar, percussion and vocals but can also easily grow to a 12 to 16-piece Latin “Orquesta” and her favorite...International tours! BUT she is also willing & able to travel as a solo-artist, all you have to do is ask!

Carmen Milagro has also played for some of SF's elite private venues for elegant & sophisticated weddings, private celebrity & CEO birthday parties alike, fundraisers & benefits and television. She's headlined at Cache Creek Casino Resort, the world-famous Top of the Mark Hopkins Hotel as well as Rassela’s Jazz Club in San Francisco, The San Jose Fairmont, Sonoma Harvest Festival, San Mateo County Fair, La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley and many other festivals and venues around the world, including a 4-month engagement in Tokyo, Japan and other shows in Europe, Central America and Cuba.

Carmen Milagro IS the Latin Rock Channel's "Artist to Watch".

"You’re a diamond in the rough, girl...well on your way to national recognition!" Pete Escovedo

"Milagro Asi es la Vida - So I've now hit replay at least 7, 8 times and all I can say is......WOW!!!!!!!! That is an awesome song, filled with so many styles, influences, grooves, totally love it!!!!!!! I AM REALLY IMPRESSED, AND INSPIRED!!! It really is an infectious song and definitely should be playing in all the dance clubs all over the world!! Carmen, I think you have yourself a major international success with this, in my humble opinion.
