Volora Howell –Soulful Jazz Vocalist has paid her dues, and has been successful on the world stage. She ‘s compared to Phyllis Hyman and Dianne Reeves, but this soulful chanteuse has her own voice and style and a five-octave range that sends chills down your spine.
Volora has performed recently in Marrakech, Morocco at the Royal Mansour and for Prince Moulay Rachid ben al Hassan at the finest restaurant in Marrakech, Joe’s.

She has been invited to perform at the Selman Marrakech, Taj Palace and the Mazagan Casino, Shangri-La Hotel in and the Burj-Al-Arab in Dubai.

As a vocalist Volora has performed in New York City hotspots the Lenox Lounge, Blue Note, Sugar Hill Bistro, Copeland’s, and the 5-Spot, among others. She has also has toured Italy, Japan the UK, Trinidad and Tobago, and Grenada.
She has worked with Jazz Legend Donald Harrison, who said she could be a super-star. Jazz Bass player Charles Fambrough use to practiced bass in her living room. Smooth jazz artist Alex Bugnon was the pianist in one of the bands she worked with early in her career.
Lennie White, four time Grammy Award, winner, and jazz legend has been in discussions to produce her next CD.

Music is in her blood, her grand-mother was an evangelist minister, who sang and played gospel songs on the organ
every Sunday morning.
Growing up in Newark, New Jersey, Volora graduated from the prestigious Arts High School, America’s first public school for performing arts, produced such talents as Sarah Vaughn, Savion Glover, Wayne Shorter, Tony award winner Melba Moore, jazz vocal legend Andy Bey, and James Moody. She studied classical music, gospel, voice and music theory for four years, before going on to earn a B.S. in Journalism from Suffolk University and a Masters from Cambridge College. She won a scholarship to study jazz vocals at the New England Conservatory of Music.

The former CEO of Jazz at Lincoln Center Hughlyn Fierce gave Volora rave reviews after listening to her CD.

Volora was Producer and Host Cable-Ace Award - “Woman of the Week;” she also received "Diva Award" for newcomer artist extraordinaire on the Piscataway, NJ Cable Show “Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!!!; and was nominated "Best Female Jazz Vocalist"in Boston for her show A Tribute to Phyllis.
Volora is a weekly 30 minute talk variety show focusing on the New York jazz and classic R&B scene. It includes documentary footage, live performance, concert, interviews and information. I perform sometimes with my guests; over twenty major artists are featured on the Volora show..
Volora is the Executive Producer of Sahara Entertainment Productions which creates original programming for television, and President of Sahara Entertainment Inc., a music enterprise. The Volora Show originated on Primetime Time Warner New York Cable viewers over 850,000. The show went nationwide on BET J Network in over 25 million homes.
She has interviewed John Legend, Melba Moore, and Jazz Legends such as Dizzy Gillespie, McCoy Tyner, Art Blakey, Betty Carter, Wayne Shorter, and Oliver Lake.

Thereafter, Volora worked as Jazz Journalist for WILD Boston Radio; and as Jazz Editor for Harlem Times; as free-lance Reporter for NBC Affiliate Boston WBZ-TV; and as Associate Producer for Black News Boston (CBS Affiliate).
