are known as a Soul, R&B party AND HORN TRIBUTE band, Playing the music Of: Chicago, Earth, Wind,& Fire,Tower of Power and Blood, Sweat, & Tears. Based out of North Myrtle Beach , SC. Their musical repertoire covers decades of hits from your favorite artists and genres of music including soul, rhythm & blues, funk, reggae, jazz standards, country, 50, 60's and Carolina Beach Music. In addition of performing some the most current hits that are topping the charts today, the group has had many successful chart topping hits on local radio and internet stations across North and South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida. Gary Lowder & SMOKIN’ HOT..... are comprised of multi-talented musicians who have come together to produce incredible performances each and every time they take the stage.
Carolina Beach Music Awards! The Carolina Beach Music Association awarded Gary Lowder & Smokin Hot with "CD OF THE YEAR" in 2013 & 2020 at the Alabama Theater, Title : Soul Therapy, and "Soul On Fire"
In 2014, the group was nominated for "GROUP OF THE YEAR". In 2015 Gary Lowder & Smokin Hot were nominated for thirteen Carolina Beach Music Awards, In 2016 Gary Lowder and Smokin' Hot were nominated for 6 CBMA Awards, including Male Vocalist (G. Lowder), Group Album (Playin' With Fire 2) Entertainer (G. Lowder), Engineer & Producer (J.K.Loftin-Playin' With Fire 2), Collaboration or Duo (G. Lowder & Marsha Morgan,"Too Many Tears". For the year 2020 the group was awarded with CD of the year, and Gary Lowder with solo CD of the year

GARY LOWDER ~ A multi-talented singer and musician, founder Gary Lowder is the winner of two CAROLINA BEACH MUSIC AWARDS in 2013...(Best Solo Album and Best Duo).. Gary is Lead vocals, and also plays trumpet, flugelhorn, and percussion. A writer, vocalist, and producer, he was nominated by the Carolina Beach Music Association for his "COASTIN" CD & Song of the year in 2012. Gary is a former member of the Entertainers, Mark Roberts Band, Legends of Beach, and founding member of the Carolina Breakers, which won ""Favorite New Group" also at the 2012 CAMMY awards....

SAX MAN: "Funky" Leroy Harper Jr traveled with the legendary James Brown as a member for 15 years...
~ "Funky' has performed all over the world with James Brown and also some of the top acts in the business.

SAX MAN: Art Amaral - Sax & Vocals

A Massachusetts native, Art has been playing professionally since the age of 13 where he needed an adult to accompany him to the clubs and bars where he made his "bones", playing with musicians three and four times his age.
Over the next several years, he honed his skills with local and regional bands of many genres. From orchestras, big band swing, jazz, blues and funk, Art has definitely developed his own style and skills.
A veteran of countless hours in the studio, Art has recorded with and for local talent as well as giants in the music industry.
Twenty years in California gave him the opportunity to play at the hottest jazz and blues clubs in LA....a once in a lifetime experience!
His touring credits include opening for The Steve Miller Band, Huey Lewis and The News, The Four Tops, Eric Carmen, Tommy James and the Shondells and The Vanilla Fudge.
He has landed in Georgetown and now fully enjoys life with his wife Terry and is thrilled to be a part of Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot!

2-Venue is to provide a covered shelter in the event of rain or threatening weather.
3- a cooler of ice water and diet beverages placed at stage side.
4- sub sandwiches or pizza if hospitality is provided
5- a suitable dressing, or changing room
6- If venue is more than 4 (four) hours from our base in North Mrytle Beach, SC , accomodations are to be provided for the performance. Min of (4) rooms at the Quality Inn , or a comparable hotel.
