Socio-technical. The easiest way for FareWell The Vet to compare a growing problem he sees with the effect music has on society. Not saying that hip hop/rap is not empathetic today, just that it feels irregular to know that the world is changing, and that my messege within my music has a better chance of standing out.” Animus has grown into music after ten+ years of writing poetry and stories. Growing up in Liverpool, United Kingdom, as well as living in two other countries, created an environment where he didn’t fully understand society, the post results of local music, and how to effectively express himself to the world. “I have a lot to live up to. I feel I can make a significant positive impact, such as my predecessors and peers from that wonderful city.” Animus has created music for the last two and a half years of his twenty-four.
Animus’ overall goal is to strengthen those listeners in the world that have gone through the same pain and happiness as him. “I’ve never really been into solely creating music for the club. This era is very necessary in today’s world for both the artist and customers… but man, do I have a story to tell… and you won’t always be able to dance to it.” Animus is a solid-growing jack of all trades. He can mold into any direction without compromising his values and originality. His flow is passionate, while still having fun riding a beat. The fact that he has fun is very evident. Beat making is something he started to do in 2009, considering he wants to describe his message from more than one front.
Animus’ creativity comes from his daily interaction. Whether it is from world events, aspects of work, his love life or family, the relevance behind his lyrics will appeal to all.
