RON ELROD-vocalist, pianist

• BIO:
RON ELROD, accomplished pianist, vocalist, and composer showed an interest in music early in childhood. He began taking piano lessons when he was only five years old. Even though he could not reach the piano pedals at this young age, he wanted to play the piano more than anything. At age fourteen, Ron started playing for church services. By age 17, he was playing with gospel quartets such as The Templeaires and the Calvarymen Quartet, in the Michigan area.

Later, Ron organized the nationally recognized gospel trio, Sons of Song. With many of his own compositions recorded on cassette and CD, Ron became a welcomed musical guest at churches throughout the U.S. and Canada. Ron has shared the stage with such well-known artists as: The Cathedral Quartet, J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet, Dottie Rambo, Bill Gaither, The Statesmen Quartet, The Blackwood Brothers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Imperials, and The Singing Canadians.

Ron attributes his longstanding musical success to his Heavenly Father for the gift of music, and to his earthly father who constantly encouraged him to keep playing and singing for the Lord. Ron’s heartfelt summary of his life so far can be summed up in this one statement: “I thank God for his mercy and blessing on my life. Without Him, I would have no song to sing, and no reason to make music.”

Ron believes that no church gathering is too big or too small for his music... God blesses his people in every setting. Ron Elrod continues to compose new music, and clearly presents the gospel in every church, in every concert, and in every song.
